Smilegate announced on Tuesday (the 2nd) that "Epic Seven," the mobile turn-based strategy RPG developed by SuperCreative, has successfully concluded the two-month journey of its newly launched global online esports league, "Epic Seven Masters."

Starting with the group draw on April 4th, the Masters featured fierce competitions among the top players of the World Arena Spring Season, all vying for a total prize pool of $34,000 and seed spots in the "Epic Seven World Championship (E7WC)." The tournament, which initially began with 32 players, moved through a highly competitive Group Stage and Knockout Stage, culminating in the Grand Finals held at noon on May 30th.

The Grand Finals saw a thrilling showdown between ‘HazamaRei’ from the Asia Group and ‘MagicQi’ from the Global Group. As both players have consistently delivered strong performances in the E7WC, they showcased a masterclass of high-level gameplay, drawing high praise from fans watching the live broadcast.

The honor of becoming the inaugural Masters champion went to HazamaRei. Despite claiming the world title at the 2024 E7WC, HazamaRei suffered an early exit in the qualifiers of last year's tournament. However, with this victory, the player secured a $15,000 cash prize along with a high-seed spot for this year's E7WC, positioning themselves favorably to reclaim the throne.

Every match of the tournament, including the Grand Finals, was broadcast live on Epic Seven's official YouTube channel. To reward users tuning in to the live stream, Smilegate revealed coupon codes for various in-game items, including a "5-Star Hero Summon Ticket" and exclusive emojis, while also hosting a match-prediction event.

Starting this year, Smilegate plans to host the Masters League annually to further expand opportunities for user participation in esports. Additionally, the E7WC, which will determine the ultimate global champion of the World Arena, is scheduled to take place in the fourth quarter of 2026.
