On May 16 (Friday), Smilegate Entertainment announced that its global FPS title “CROSSFIRE” will participate in the Asian Champions League 2025 (ACL 2025), the largest comprehensive esports tournament in Asia. The event serves as a qualifying event for the Esports World Cup 2025 (EWC 2025), to be held this August in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking a pivotal moment for CROSSFIRE Esports to reach the next level.
ACL 2025 will feature eight top teams from China, Vietnam, and the Philippines, competing for a total prize pool of $100,000 and regional pride. The champion of ACL 2025 will receive $40,000 in prize money along with a direct seed ticket to EWC 2025.
The participating teams were selected from the top-performing squads of each region’s domestic leagues. Representing China are KINGZERO-eSports, which captured its first CFPL title with five consecutive playoff wins; Evolution Power Gaming, the reigning CFS Grand Finals champion; and veteran teams ChengDu All Gamers and BaiSha Gaming. From Vietnam, Team Falcons, the champion of the inaugural Vietnam Pro League season, and runner-up NEXTTOP will take part. Representing the Philippines are Arcilla Esports and UBECManiaGT, selected based on their strong performances last season.
ACL is an international multi-title esports tournament hosted by Chinese esports company Hero Esports, and it will be held in Shanghai, China. Nine popular titles are featured at the tournament, including CROSSFIRE, Dota 2, Valorant, League of Legends, and Street Fighter 6. CROSSFIRE will serve as the flagship FPS title of ACL 2025, and the winning team will earn a spot in the EWC 2025 finals.
The CROSSFIRE tournament at ACL 2025 will be held from May 16 (Friday) to May 17 (Saturday) at Jing’an Sports Center in Shanghai. The matches will be broadcast in Chinese, English, and Vietnamese via official CFS and ACL channels, and streamed live on global platforms such as YouTube, Twitch, and TikTok.
