[2020-0521] Starting May 21 (Thu), the Smilegate Megaport (CEO Ina Jang) serviced and Lumidia Games (CEO Jangho Lee) developed mobile casual sandbox game, "Super Tank Blitz," will begin global pre-orders.
Pre-orders will be available on the Super Tank Blitz pre-order page and through the Google Play Store in 142 countries at the same time. Pre-ordering users will be rewarded various game items such as gems, super boxes, and special medals.
Super Tank Blitz is the next project after the mobile sandbox game, "Super Tank Rumble," which was released by Smilegate in 2017 and recorded 20 million downloads around the world. "Super Tank Rumble" was selected by Google as the most innovative game in 2017, and it was recognized for its original gameplay.
The game introduces new character collection elements and raises the importance of battle content all the while maintaining the larger framework of building unique tanks with various parts and holding a series of battles with other users, making the game more enjoyable for casual play. Also, the tank-building display's overall UI (user interface) is dramatically improved and the parts structure is simplified, making tank building intuitive and fun.
In particular, the introduction of character elements is the most prominent change in this project. Users can collect a variety of characters and level them up in real-time battles. As the character levels up, users can build more creative and more powerful tanks with more parts. Each character has their own individually designed tank, and when users acquire a new character, their tank comes with them. With this, it is easy to build various types of tanks.
On the other hand, Smilegate soft launched the game in 6 countries, Canada, Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, Sweden, and the Netherlands, on May 19 before the global pre-order, and the response from users have been positive.
"Smilegate is continuously pioneering and will continue to develop the unique genre of 'casual sandbox' games with Super Tank Blitz," said Smilegate Megaport CEO Inha Jang, "We will do our best to provide a wider variety of genres to game lovers all around the world, and with this, we will try to take the game ecosystem another step in a positive direction. We ask for your support."
