Smilegate’s Metahuman YuA Cheers on Sponsored Children at Soccer Field 2024-09-30

■ YuA appointed as ambassador for Hope Cup to fight hunger, delivers messages to cheer on children 

■ Continuously promoting “value of sharing” as campaign ambassador 

Smilegate announced on the 12th that its metahuman, YuA, had visited the training field of the Koren national football team that will soon compete at the Hope Cup to deliver messages of cheer and encouragement to the players.

The Hope Cup is a football tournament where children from around the world who receive sponsorships are invited to Korea to visit the sponsoring companies and provided with an opportunity for exchange with Korean youth. The goal of the tournament is to help children find their potential and nurture their dreams through diverse experiences. It is hosted by Korea Food for the Hungry International, an international relief and development NGO. 

The tournament will be held at the Seoul World Cup Auxiliary Stadium and Jangchung Gymnasium from the 8th to the 12th of next month. Around 120 children from ten countries, including Guatemala, Ecuador, the Republic of South Africa, Tanzania, Burkina Faso, Zambia, Sri Lanka, Myanmar and Vietnam, will compete at the event. 

YuA visited the training field of the Korean national team as the campaign ambassador. The players and YuA spent an enjoyable time together working out and eating ice cream. She also delivered messages of cheer and encouragement to the players on the official Hope Cup Instagram page. YuA will encourage the children again in the field during the event period by delivering messages posted on the Instagram page. 

“I had a great time with the children from diverse cultural backgrounds and surroundings,” said YuA. “I will deliver messages of cheer and encouragement posted on Instagram to the players from around the world who will complete at the Hope Cup.”

YuA will focus on promoting the event as the Hope Cup campaign ambassador. She has already been performing activities steadily since her appointment as the ambassador for the Stop Hunger campaign in 2021. YuA is learning about various issues around the world and spreading the value of people and sharing by continuously performing her ambassador activities.
