Smilegate’s popular MMORPG Lord Nine successfully hosted its first offline user event, welcoming 200 enthusiastic players for a day of engaging activities and exciting announcements. The highlight of the event was the unveiling of a comprehensive update roadmap, showcasing major changes and new content set to enhance the game in the months ahead.

On January 11, Smilegate held the Lord Nine offline event, titled "LORD-MAP Half Anniversary" at the IVEX STUDIO in Gwangmyeong, Gyeonggi Province. The venue was transformed into a “Festival for Lords,” featuring various mini-games and event zones where attendees could participate in activities and win exclusive Lord Nine merchandise.

A highlight of the event was the LORD-MAP LIVE session, held simultaneously online and offline at 6 PM, generating enthusiastic community engagement. During this session, Smilegate unveiled a series of exciting updates, including significant enhancements to the game’s leveling systems and the introduction of new weapon masteries, promising to elevate the gaming experience for players.

The announced leveling content updates include expansions for Expertise Levels, Weapon Mastery Levels, and Ability Levels. Among these, the newly introduced Expertise Level stands out as an advanced progression system designed specifically for weapon masteries. Players can unlock this feature by meeting specific experience thresholds, calculated based on the cumulative experience gained across all previously developed weapon masteries. Once unlocked, players can access to exclusive specialization points, which can be strategically applied to further enhance their characters' capabilities.

The Weapon Mastery Level cap will increase to 120, enabling players to earn additional specialization points and experience improved level effects. This update introduces a new layer of excitement to progression. Additionally, the Ability system will now extend beyond the 'Master' level, raising the level cap to 800. Players can also anticipate exclusive skills for each class, enhancing strategic gameplay.

The roadmap also unveiled new non-combat content, including Homun Racing, mining, alchemy, and fishing. In Homun Racing, players can race their Homuns on dedicated tracks, earning rewards to upgrade or customize their companions upon victory. Mining opportunities scattered throughout the map, enhanced potion effects via alchemy, and fishing for treasures or completing fish encyclopedias offer a variety of non-combat activities for players to enjoy.

The event wrapped up with an exciting reveal of a new weapon mastery, 'Scythe', reminiscent the Grim Reaper’s iconic weapon. This formidable two-handed scythe introduces unique combat features such as short cooldowns, high mobility, and versatile ranged attack skills. Additionally, the Scythe features a unique class mechanic that allows players to absorb the "souls" of defeated monsters, empowering their abilities for even greater impact. Sythe can be unlocked once players meet specific in-game conditions.

"This was a wonderful occasion for us to celebrate with the Lords who have supported the game since its launch last year. Looking ahead, we’re excited to bring even more engaging content and a variety of events to enrich the Lords' gaming experience. We can’t wait for you to see what we have in store," said Han Jae-Young, Director of Smilegate Megaport.
