Smilegate Epic Seven Officially Launches in China! 2023-07-05

Global hit mobile RPG Epic Seven, serviced by Smilegate and developed by Super Creative, officially launched in China on June 20 (Tue), according to an announcement.

Epic Seven was officially launched on the Apple App Store and various Android markets at 10 AM (local time) on June 20. The game has drawn a high level of interest in China, with pre-orders surpassing four million across all platforms in the country and early access downloads (started from June 19) taking the top spot on the iOS App Store, Bilibili, and Taptap.

Smilegate and Zilong Game will be unveiling contents that are mostly uniform with other global contents thanks to a comprehensive localization process. The real-time PvP (player vs. player) World Arena will also operate at the same time as the global version of the game starting in the next pre-season after the pilot phase. In addition, the localization process has reflected the preferences of users in China, with the top voice actors in the country taking part in the voice recording process for the heroes within the game.

The two companies will be releasing the special skin Red Lotus Robes for the moonlight hero Free Spirit Tieria, the special pet Cutie Pangdu, which is an anthropomorphized panda, and a special artifact as gifts to users in celebration of the game’s official launch in China. These gifts will also be distributed to all users across the globe in the future.

Meanwhile, with over four million users pre-ordering the game across all platforms ahead of its official launch, Epic Seven is drawing great expectations for success. The game also received favorable reviews during the private beta test that took place from May 11 until May 21.
