Every year, Smilegate hosts festive in-house events ahead of major holidays, allowing employees to experience warmth, joy, and a sense of belonging through shared participation and connection with colleagues.
This year’s event embraced a “Mill House” concept inspired by a traditional grain mill, creating a warm and welcoming space where employees could celebrate Chuseok together, share joy, and make lasting memories. Smilegate Newsroom captured the heartwarming moments throughout the event.
‘Full Moon Mill’ Arrives at Smilegate Ahead of Chuseok!
From September 29 to October 1, the lobby of Smilegate’s Pangyo Campus and the 7th-floor cafeteria at Bundang First Tower were transformed into festive spaces filled with playful activities and holiday treats.
Smilegate Newsroom shares a glimpse of the day when employees “crafted happiness” together.
Welcome to the Full Moon Mill!
A bright full moon rose in the Smilegate Campus lobby to celebrate Chuseok. Beside it stood the “Full Moon Mill,” displaying an array of gifts to welcome employees.
“Welcome! Join the games and take home your Chuseok gift!”

As employees gathered after lunch, a long line quickly formed, and the space soon filled with laughter and excitement, creating a true festive mood.

The Full Moon Mill featured a total of four different games.
Participants who succeeded in each game received traditional brass coins, which they could later exchange for prizes at the Full Moon Mill’s gift booth.
And if they didn’t win? No worries—snack coupons were given out to sweeten the loss!

Full Moon Bunny Playground: Solo Challenges!
The first game was top spinning.
Several players spun tops on the table, and the one whose top spun the longest was the winner.
Even if the top fell off the table, as long as it kept spinning, the game continued.
Everyone watched the spinning tops with tense expressions.

Next came the traditional shuttlecock game, jegichagi.
Participants had to kick the shuttlecock as many times as the number they drew—either two or five. Those who drew two felt lucky, while others stretched and focused with determination, creating a tense yet fun atmosphere.
“One, two, three—wow!”
Cheers erupted around each successful player as teammates gathered in support—because games are always more fun when shared with others.

Pounding Mill Corner: Teamwork Challenge!
This round featured a two-player team game — a perfect chance to showcase the teamwork they’ve built at work.
The first mission was “beanbag catching.” One person threw the beanbags while the other caught them using a basket. Catching all five meant success. The thrower reached out with full effort, and the catcher crouched carefully to keep the beanbags from bouncing out. Teams who succeeded celebrated with a high-five and earned their coins.
The final game was “Ring Toss at the Mill.”
Each participant tossed five rings, needing six successful hooks in total to win. It looked simple but proved tricky — cheers and groans alternated with every throw.

A Chuseok Made Warmer Through Giving
At the Full Moon Mill, a donation event was held in partnership with Heemang Studio, Smilegate’s social contribution foundation.
Employees could donate interview items such as suits, ties, and belts for young job seekers and receive three coins in return.
This special act of giving made the Chuseok season even more heartwarming.
Exciting Chuseok Prize Draw
With their collected coins, employees headed to the Full Moon Mill gift booth. Four coins granted access to the “special draw,” while one coin could be used for the Chuseok prize draw.
A variety of prizes awaited — from sesame oil and noodle sets to seaweed gift packs.
Those who didn’t win enough coins were treated to snack coupons for traditional sweets like yakgwa, oranda, and crispy rice snacks.
Smiles bright as the full moon filled the room as employees walked away with hands full of gifts.
Participants shared enthusiastic feedback. Cho Ga-kyung, Associate Manager at Smilegate Entertainment, said, “This was my first time joining a holiday event since I joined this year. It was unexpectedly fun, especially the beanbag catching game — I feel like my teamwork with Hyun-joo got even better!”
Jung Hyun-joo, Manager at Smilegate Entertainment, added, “I focused on the games with the best odds and won sesame oil (laughs). The beautifully decorated Full Moon Mill made it feel truly festive — and the generous gifts made it even better. I hope everyone enjoys delicious food this Chuseok, but maybe without gaining too much weight!”
Like the round, glowing full moon, the Full Moon Mill event was filled with smiles and joy.
It was a moment that perfectly captured the warmth and abundance of Korea’s biggest holiday, Chuseok.
