The "Eternal Heir Festival" was held for a single day on August 29 at the U-PLEX in Hyundai Department Store, Sinchon, Seoul, South Korea.

An offline meetup with Heirs took place on the 12th floor "Illustar Stage," while a Collaboration Cafe on the 2nd basement floor served special 8th Anniversary menus. The immense enthusiasm of our Heirs was clear, as all seats were sold out during pre-registration.

"Fierce Media Coverage for the Eternal Heir Festival"

Before meeting the Heirs, an interview with Project Director Tak Gwang-Jin and Development Director Heo Dae-Gyun was held for domestic media at the B2 Collaboration Cafe. The interview took place in front of the 8th Anniversary Collaboration Cafe photo wall, drawing numerous reporters and intense media interest.

The two developers explained that unlike the early days of building the game's foundation, their perspective has shifted toward respecting the Heirs' gameplay experiences while making gradual improvements. They also reaffirmed their commitment to preserving Epic Seven's core values: appealing characters, high-quality animation, and turn-based strategic gameplay.

Various Q&A sessions covered the upcoming Steam release slated for the second half of the year, the first in-house IP collaboration with "Chaos Zero Nightmare," and esports expansion plans leading from regular seasons to the E7WC. Regarding the push for more offline experiences like the Collaboration Cafe, they answered that meeting and communicating directly with fans strengthens the community and provides the dev team with invaluable live feedback.

Diverse and Rewarding: Full Preparations for the Eternal Heir Festival

The 12th floor Illustar Stage opened at 1:30 PM. Upon entering, visitors were greeted by massive 8th Anniversary artwork and an "Epic Seven 8th Anniversary" banner. Grass carpet seating facing the stage was prepped with character cushions and bottled water, allowing Heirs to settle in comfortably and enjoy the event.

Various permanent event zones were set up around the stage. On one side, a Fan-Made Merchandise Market (Flea Market) featured custom merchandise made by Epic Seven creators, while the other side hosted a message board for leaving notes to the dev team and a photo zone to snap commemorative shots.

Along with an exhibition zone showcasing specially commissioned 8th Anniversary illustrations and a mini-game zone where visitors could play the rhythm game "Rhythm Surfer," there was plenty to see and do even before the main event started.

3:00 PM: The Eternal Heir Festival Finally Begins

Part 1 kicked off with opening remarks from Host Lee Dong-Jin. With his signature energetic tone and clear diction, he hyped up the Heirs and elevated the atmosphere. For the main event of Part 1, "Epic Quiz Showdown!," 132 Heirs competed in a 50-question survival quiz for a chance to win a gaming monitor. The quiz questions were read by Voice Actress Cha Young-Hee, the voice of "Lisette." The winner was a somewhat shy Heir with an INTP MBTI personality type, who astonishingly tackled the final challenge completely solo from question 37 onwards. The winner shared, "Epic Seven is much more fun when we play together. Let's keep enjoying the game together."

During the 15-minute intermission to cool down from the heated Quiz Showdown, the Flea Market booths were bustling once again.

In Part 2, "8th Anniversary with the Devs," commentator Lee Dong-Jin and Gclef hosted a Q&A for the Heirs with Korean to English translation. Directors Tak and Heo also played the new PvP content "The Call of Chaos" with Heirs, showing great synergy. In the subsequent "Equipment Enhancement Showdown," Heirs split into 4 groups to compete. Real Equipment coupons were initially intended only for the winning group, but Director Tak received massive cheers when he made a generous promise to give Equipment coupons to all Heirs across every server in celebration of the 8th Anniversary.

After all programs concluded at 7:00 PM, a 30-minute farewell ceremony followed. Along with info on the "Blessings of the Goddess" coupon, all attending Heirs were gifted merchandise worth roughly 50,000 KRW as a special parting gift.

A Special Guest at the Eternal Heir Festival

One person who particularly stood out at the venue was Han Gyu-seon, who personally drew and left a supportive illustration. A dedicated Epic Seven player for 5 years, he took a leave from his active military service just to attend the event.

"I've been playing Epic Seven for 5 years. I couldn't miss this event, so I took military leave to be here. I love you, Epic Seven!"

Witnessing such dedication from a fan who rushed over on his military leave left all the event staff and fellow Heirs feeling deeply proud and moved.

"The 8th Anniversary, Enjoyed Through Taste"

A merchandise zone was set up at the entrance of the B2 Collaboration Cafe. Visitors could browse a wide lineup of goods, including acrylic blocks and stands, lenticular photo cards, mousepads, Artifact can badges, as well as power banks, caps, hoodies, and art books. Spending 30,000 KRW or more also scored buyers a random Original Ticket out of 6 available designs.

The cafe interior was decorated with character illustration tables and seating. The walls displayed artwork from both the dev team and Heirs, giving the distinct impression of a space built together by fans and creators.

The drink menu featured 4 items: Fragment of the Goddess Ade, Essence of Nggdrasil Latte, Abyss-Seeking Iced Tea, and Majestic Bunny Girl Latte. Orders came with a random coaster and a Hero role acrylic badge. Limited menus themed around the new Side Episode "Paradise Lost" included cake, parfait, hot dogs, and juice, making it feel as if the game's universe had been brought to life.

A stamp rally was also available, where collecting 3 purchase stamps allowed attendees to enter a raffle for a "Luna Resin Figure" and a "Holiday Yufine Figure." Even non-winning entries received Leif and Summon Tickets by default. Outside the cafe, a vending machine dispensing 12 random lucky draw photo cards also caught everyone's attention.

The Moment Characters Came to Life

Around the venue, attendees could meet cosplayers showcasing highly detailed outfits of Genesis Ras, Witch of the Mere Tenebria, Lisette, Argent Waves Hwayoung, and Aram. Encountering their on-screen characters in real life sparked endless cheers and requests for photos from Heirs.

"An 8-Year Voyage: Together on the Next Adventure"

For the operations team, the "Eternal Heir Festival" was a chance to express gratitude to the Heirs who have spent 8 years with them. For the Heirs, it was an opportunity to step right into the world they only knew in-game, brought to life in the middle of Sinchon. The day was made even more special thanks to all the Heirs who gladly took time out of their schedules to attend.

From the specially crafted 8th Anniversary Side Episode "Paradise Lost" to the upcoming Steam release and the global esports tournament E7WC 2026... Please look forward to Epic Seven's continuing journey!

* The B2 Collaboration Cafe will be open until September 30. We ask for the continued interest and support of our community members.
