"We want to push the medium of games itself forward."
Who made such a bold declaration?

It was Jacob Minkoff, Game Director at the development studio That's No Moon. That's No Moon is the studio in which Smilegate made a $100 million strategic investment back in 2021. Minkoff and his fellow developers there are creating the AAA single-player action-adventure game "Crossfire."
That's No Moon was founded around a core team of developers who built their careers at globally renowned studios such as Naughty Dog (developer of "Uncharted") and Infinity Ward (developer of "Call of Duty"). Hollywood actors who have appeared in works like director James Cameron's "Avatar" film series are performing the game's characters, elevating the quality of its cinematic direction.

A recently released behind-the-scenes documentary on the making of "Crossfire" covered the background of the collaboration between Smilegate and That's No Moon, the connection between the new title and the Crossfire IP universe, and the performance-capture technology used to enhance the game's immersion.
Can Jacob Minkoff's ambition actually be realized? Hints can be found in his career history, the strength of his colleagues, and That's No Moon's vision.
