Smilegate announced on Monday the 27th that "Epic Seven," the mobile turn-based tactical RPG developed by Super Creative, has unveiled a new episode unfolding its next main storyline, alongside the introduction of the episode's key character, "Salome," as a new Moonlight Hero.

The new update introduces Episode 6 Part 1, titled 'Elegy of the End,' with subsequent chapters to be released sequentially in parts. This initial part follows the story surrounding the 'Order of the Black Holy Grail,' a secret organization founded by 'Kayron'—one of the 'Acolytes' who seeks the destruction of 'Orbis,' the world of Epic Seven. To maximize player immersion, this episode features full voice-acting for the entire storyline, a brand-new 'tile-based stage' system, and enhanced cinematic storytelling.

'Salome,' a central figure in the new episode, debuts as a Moonlight Hero. As the sole survivor of the miracle village 'Rungrave' and an inquisitor for the Order of the Black Holy Grail, she drives the core narrative while torn between the Order's dogma and her own past. She is portrayed as a multi-dimensional character, blending the cold demeanor of an inquisitor with the hidden scars of a survivor.

Salome features a unique mechanic—a first for Epic Seven—allowing her to clone the appearance and abilities of an enemy hero. Her second skill, 'Salvation,' allows her to clone a target hero for one turn to utilize their exact power. While cloning, she becomes immune to skill damage and gains an extra turn. Combined with her ability to inflict various debuffs such as 'Crumble' and 'Decrease Defense,' Salome offers a distinctive gameplay experience by turning the enemy's strengths against them.

Meanwhile, this update also introduces various system improvements. First, the maximum friendship level for heroes has been raised from 10 to 15. Starting with Salome, heroes released in future updates will reward players with exclusive illustrations upon reaching the maximum friendship level.

The new 'Mana Control' system is designed to help players increase their desired stats during gear enhancement. In Epic Seven, when gear is enhanced, one of the four substats increases at random. However, by using the Mana Control system to designate one specific substat, players can exclude that stat from the enhancement pool, preventing it from increasing.

In addition, various other changes have been implemented, such as enhancing rewards for participating in 'Guild Wars' and improving the way information is shared among Guild members.
