Developed by Super Creative and serviced by Smilegate, the dark fantasy roguelike RPG Chaos Zero Nightmare officially launched globally at noon on 22nd, marking the start of its full-scale entry into the global market. Notably, within just a day of pre-download opening at noon yesterday, the game reached No.1 on the Apple App Store’s free download charts in eight regions —including the United States, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Canada, Singapore, and Macau—demonstrating immense global interest.

Chaos Zero Nightmare is available in a single global build across 174 regions, playable on both mobile and PC. The mobile version can be downloaded via Google Play and the Apple App Store, while the PC version is available on Smilegate STOVE. The game supports four languages: Korean, English, Japanese, and Traditional Chinese.

Chaos Zero Nightmare, created by Super Creative, the studio behind the globally successful Epic Seven, is a 2D animation-based subculture RPG. Set in a desolate universe ravaged by a mysterious entity known as “Chaos,” it features a dark and immersive world where players nurture charismatic agents (characters). The game combines the fun of RPG character growth with card-based combat and roguelike elements that deliver a new experience each time based on player choices—creating a genre unique to CZN. In addition, the game incorporates advanced 2D art technologies such as dynamic lighting to enhance visual depth, and even presents striking scenes depicting the mental collapse of agents, matching its dark fantasy tone.

Thanks to these distinctive features, Chaos Zero Nightmare has surpassed 2 million global pre-registrations. Furthermore, results from last month’s pre-play test showed that 70% of participants responded positively to the gameplay, heightening expectations for its success in the global market.

Smilegate is mobilizing its full global publishing capabilities to ensure the success of Chaos Zero Nightmare. To celebrate the launch, the company is hosting a variety of generous events—including a launch attendance event, a captain level-up event, and in-game mission events. Participants can receive up to 200 free agent rescue (gacha) opportunities and numerous growth materials as rewards. Additionally, agents “Beryl,” “Rosaria,” and “Rei” are available for free.

On the CZN STOVE official community and X channel, launch celebration comment events, subscription events, and play verification events are being held, with participants receiving Baedal Minjok gift certificates as prizes.

Paek, Young Hoon, CEO of Smilegate Megaport, said, “We sincerely thank all players who have patiently waited for the launch of Chaos Zero Nightmare. Together with the developer, we will devote our full efforts to making this title a groundbreaking work that transcends the limits of subculture games through its unique dark fantasy roguelike RPG genre.”
