Smilegate announced on Thursday, the 24th, that it has been selected as the Korean co-publishing partner for the new mystic self-healing RPG “Artis Impact,” created by Malaysian solo developer Mas. “Artis Impact” is scheduled for official release on August 7 for PC platforms, including STOVE and Steam.

Set in a post-apocalyptic world where humans and AI coexist, “Artis Impact” is a turn-based RPG where players take on the role of the protagonist Akane. Accompanied by her AI companion Bot, Akane embarks on a journey through a collapsed civilization in search of her memories and sense of belonging. The game blends classic JRPG-inspired combat, immersive exploration, and life simulation elements, allowing players to relax and enjoy a pixel-art world through a user-friendly system. All graphics and animations were hand-drawn frame by frame by Mas himself, with the development spanning approximately four years since 2021.

The combat is built on a classic turn-based system designed for accessibility, with gameplay focusing on character development and equipment upgrades. Rather than conquest, the game emphasizes enjoyment, allowing players to feel relaxed rather than exhausted after gameplay. Players can freely explore various regions, interact with NPCs, and engage in life simulation content such as part-time jobs, cooking, and decorating their home—tailoring the gameplay to their own style. Dungeon events and cutscenes are presented with pixel-based direction, enhancing the game’s retro charm. Players can immerse themselves in the game’s mysterious and surreal atmosphere, enjoying a moment of “self-healing.”

Through this publishing partnership, STOVE will support Korean localization and marketing campaigns to help domestic users fully embrace the game’s unique emotional tone.
